She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Lamar and Donnie Sue Bates; and her brothers, Danny, John and David Bates.
She is survived by: her daughter Kim Downen (Johnny) of Gould; her brother Keith Bates of Star City; and her grandchildren, Catie Watson (Deaul), Nathan Downen and Madison Crow (Brant).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Home (109 Brasfield St, Dumas, AR 71639). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Tyro Cemetery.
Family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials to Donor's choice charity.
