She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence "Sonny" Charlton and Derothy "Jean" Spencer-Johnson; her son Ronald "Ronnie" Poteet; and her sisters, Margie Self and Shelly Johnson-Foster.
She is survived by: her close friend Lonnie Crabtrey; her children, Karla Easley-Langrell (Gary "Stoney") and Brandon Grimes (Courtney); her siblings, Sheila Jenkins, Linda Bridges, Tracey Davis, Carl Charlton (Carol), James Johnson (Tammy), David Johnson and Leslie "George" Johnson; her grandchildren, Vincent Orton, Jayann Baumer, Ronnie Baumer and Annalee Grimes; her great grandchildren, Tanner Orton and Ava McCallister; and her pet Roxie. She is also survived by Several nephews and nieces.
