With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vance Blackerby of Grapevine, Arkansas, born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, H. V. Blackerby and Jeroline Lites Blackerby; his sister Faye Lunsford; his brother-in-law Charles Lunsford; his nephew Rex Ashcraft; his parents-in-law, Virgie and Hershell Bratton; and his brothers-in-law, John Gray and Bobby Grooms.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Bratton Blackerby; his daughter Brandy; his son-in-law Adam Ashley; his sons, Cody Blackerby and Chris Blackerby; his daughter-in-law Amanda; his grandchildren, Brooke, Blake Roberts, Avana Ashley, Cayden Blackerby, Braylon, Avery and Ivy Blackerby; his sisters, Dianne Ashcraft (Tommy) and Vinda Lou Bradford (Huey); his sisters-in-law, Barbara Rice (Mark), Brenda Gray (James) and Ellen Grooms; and his caregivers, Brandy, Summer and Lisa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (2686 US-167, Sheridan, AR 72150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at the Ain Cemetery.
