She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Milstead and Sara Nancy Milstead (Estes); her granddaughter Kara Elyse Nix; and her brothers, Gale Milstead and Robert Milstead.
She is survived by: her husband James Ates; her daughters, Melanie McLeain and Sara Davis (Thad) of Green Forest; her grandchildren, Kirby Nix, Reagan Nix, Myron Nix, Noah Nix, Michael Davis (Ike) and Abigail Davis (Abbi); and her brother Paul Milstead (Judy) of Fayetteville.
