He was predeceased by : his parents, Eulus Mitchell Kelley and Linne May Naylor Kelley; his wife Barbara Mason Kelley; his former life partner Margaret Raney Kelley; and his daughter Barbara Kelley.

He is survived by : his children, Charles Mitchell Kelley and Shela Sturgeon (Tim); his grandchildren, Amanda Pagels, Timothy Sturgeon, Jr. and Nikki Tigert; and his great grandchildren, Ty Sturgeon, Hannah Sturgeon, Jasmine Messenger, Aidan Messenger and Alex Belcourt. He is also survived by his family, and his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren were the love of his life.
