He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard Caldwell, Jr. and Beatrice "Bea" Tarter Caldwell; his former wife Laverne Woody Caldwell; his siblings, Bobby Caldwell and Annie Roach; his stepson Richy Brooks; and his grandson Clay Goodwin.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Caldwell; his son Scott Caldwell (Jennifer) of Little Rock; his stepchildren, Craig Brooks (Carla) of Mabelvale and Vicki Goodwin of Conway; his granddaughters, Katelyn Tester (Colson) of Farmington and Lindy Goodwin of Conway; and his great grandchildren, Case and Lucas Tester.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (319 S Court St, Carlisle, AR 72024). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
