She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Lowrie; her parents, Doner C. Griffin and Ollie Mae Jones; her son-in-law Trevor Byers; and her siblings, Donnie Griffin, Jimmy Griffin and Connie Peoples.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Byers of Fort Smith, Lisa Ponce (Orlando) of Snyder, Joey Lowrie (Candice) of Coldwater and Kenney Landers of Pocola, Oklahoma.; her brothers, Clifton Griffin of Knoxville and Ronnie Griffin of Hobbs; her grandchildren, Jamie Walling (Seth) of Leesville, Justin Johnston (Nikki) of Snyder, Jennifer O'Mara (John-Michael) of Fort Smith, Miranda Smith (Cameron) of Arkabutla, Deanna Buckner (Chris) of Greenwood, Chase Lowrie (Lena) of Arkabutla and Nathan Ponce of Snyder, Texas.; her great grandchildren, Bailey, Haidyn, Rayder, Rylei, Rian, Abigail, Chandler, Kenlei, Emreigh, Serenity, Graham, Piper, Layla, Reagan, Ella, David and Liam; her sister-in-law Linda; and her grandson Chris Byers.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (137 N Main St, Greenwood, AR 72936). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel (137 N Main St, Greenwood, AR 72936). A burial will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at the Steep Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of Alpha's courageous journey as a cancer survivor.
