With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Kay Brewster (Greenwood, Arkansas), born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her children, Tyler Stormes and Shelley Stormes; and her grandson Ethen Stormes (John Brewster). She is survived by: her husband John; her daughters, Aleasha Dees (Billy) of Austin, TX and Renee Stormes of Jackson, MS; her granddaughter Tyla Stormes (Danielle) of Fort Smith; and her stepchildren, Carolyn Standridge (Jim) of Mustang, OK, Jan Evans (Baker) of Bella Vista, AR, Brent Brewster (Jo) of Florence, KY and Paul Brewster (Debbie) of Madison, IN. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and countless friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel (137 N Main St, Greenwood, AR 72936). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hackett Public School Education Foundation at P.O. Box 23, Hackett, AR 72937 or simply take a moment to tell someone you love them—she would've liked that.
