With solemn reverence, we commemorate Verna Sue Basham of Greenwood, Arkansas, whose life came to an end on June 19, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Dewitt Elmore and Dora Ellen Elmore (Holmes); her brother Oran Elmore; and her husband Tommy Basham. She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Jean Basham and Marilyn Beacraft; her children, Sandee Atkins (Scott), Chris Basham and Todd Basham (June); her grandchildren, Keather Hansen (Bryce), Whitney Carroll (Antonio), Brenna Woodhull (Seth), Tyler Basham (Katie), Anna, Oren, Zenie, Zayin Basham, Noah Basham, Olivia Basham and Trey Woods; and her great grandchildren, Jude, Ezra Hansen, Sybil, Florence Carroll, Rosalie, Theodore Woodhull and Annaliese Basham. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel (137 N Main St, Greenwood, AR 72936). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
