He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezekiah Whitehurst and Pruvie Whitehurst; his siblings, Lea Ann and Donald; his wife Nell; his daughter Debbie Lynn; his parents-in-law, Wilburn and Ilene Hunt; his brother Fred; and his sister-in-law Peggy James.
He is survived by: his son Eddy Whitehurst (Jeanie); his grandsons, Justin Whitehurst, Jacob Whitehurst and Justin Johnson (Josie); his great grandchild Hadlie Johnson; his sister Marsha Morgan (Willie); his sister-in-law Carolyn Whitehurst; his brother Andy Hunt (Rhonda); his siblings' children, Melanie Whitehurst, Amanda Stephens (JJ), Tanya King (Dustin), Stacy Freeland (JR), Billy Morgan (Dusty), Randall Hunt (Stephanie) and Heath Hunt; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brooks Morgan, Brett Morgan, Zack King, Alex King, Michael King, Colby Freeland, Joe Paul Freeland (Lauren), Cyrus Hunt, Sebastian Hunt, Maci Stephens, Charla Freeland and Alexandria Hunt; his close friend Cinch; Clarence and Kate. He is also survived by other relatives, his church family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lone Star Baptist Church (350 Lone Star Lane, Greers Ferry, AR 72067). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
