He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Bass and Ruby Jean Chellette Haynie; his son Shane Gummeson; and his brothers, Bruce Haynie and Randy Haynie.

He is survived by: his children, Patrick Haynie of Little Rock and Tiffany Haynie of Gurdon; his grandchildren, Kaylee Smallwood, Jaylen Wells, LaShawn Smallwood, Ja'Onnah McGhee, Caitlyn Gummeson and Bryce Gummeson; and his great grandchild Shiloh Wells.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Welch Funeral Home (202 S 4th St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
