We bid farewell to Roland Hughes of Gurdon, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 23, 2026 at the age of 71. Roland touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hughes and Thomaseen Carlton Hughes; and his siblings, Rosa Dee Hughes, Anne Blakely, Vera Daugherty, Ed Hughes and Albert Hughes.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Gills Hughes of Gurdon; his children, Nicholas Hughes (Brandy) of Gurdon and Julie Burris (Tim) of Gurdon; and his siblings, William Hughes of Palestine, Jimmy Hughes (Lisa) of Gurdon, Shirley Williams of Gurdon and Fran Malcom Graves (Dwight Malcom) of Gurdon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
