She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fortson and Delilah Marie Fortson (Hicks); her husband Willis Hamilton; her son Homer Brown, Jr.; and her siblings, Billy, Charles, Robert, Ronnie, Randy Fortson, Sue Hodge, Ruby Brooks and Barbara Blocker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Jones and Carolyn Willhite; and her brother Earl Fortson. She is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
