He is survived by: his wife Peggy McNeice Akers of Hamburg; his children, Leigh Ann Britt (William) of Saline, Brad Akers (Myra) of Monroe, Sandy Akers Massey (Steve) of Orlando, Regina Staton (Bobby) of Baton Rouge and Kevin Cotton (Sabrina) of Hamburg; his brother Roe Akers of Little Rock; his grandchildren, Chelsey Landrum, Shelby Massey, Kirby Massey, Devon Barlow, Landry Cotton and Leyton Cotton; and his great grandchild Harleigh Landrum.
