She is survived by: her children, Crystal (James Jones) of Hamburg, AR, Galena (Timothy Mooney) of Hamburg, AR, Steven (Nicole Brown) of Dallas, TX, Christopher Douglas of Hamburg, AR and Oliver Lee (Adrian Caldwell) of Houston, TX; her siblings, Jessie James of Hamburg, AR, Thurman Lee Morris of Hamburg, AR, Andrew James, Jr. of Pine Bluff, AR, Billy Ray James of Pine Bluff, AR, Grenlin James of Kansas City, MO, Pearlie James of Hamburg, AR, Clauzell (Theodore Gates) of Crossett, AR, Diane James of Pine Bluff, AR and Shirley James of Pine Bluff, AR; and her close friend Mayor Joseph Carlton of Montrose, AR.. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cromwell Funeral Home (600 E St Louis St, Hamburg, AR 71646). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (1371 Ashley Rd 25, Hamburg, AR 71646). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Johnson Memorial Cemetery (921 W Parker St, Hamburg, AR 71646).
