It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Hagood Meredith of Hamburg, Arkansas, born in Crossett, Arkansas, who passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas "Tom" Hagood, Jr. and Lillian Agnes Henderson Hagood; and her sister-in-law Vickki Hagood. She is survived by: her husband Joel Clyde Meredith of Hamburg; her daughters, Denise Smitty (Dwight) of Crossett, Nancy Campbell and Allison Dobbins (J. W.) of Crossett; her brothers, Allen Hagood (Mackie) of Bryant and Troy Hagood of Hamburg; and her grandchildren, Trey Campbell (Hagan), Joel Campbell (Hannah), Haley Smitty (Josh Day), Savannah Childers (Jonathan), Meredith Wilson (Bryce), Blake Smitty (Brier Smith), Hannah Dobbins, John Dobbins and Zachary Dobbins. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren that she adored and a host of nieces and nephews.
