He was predeceased by : his parents, Billy Jack "Papa Jack" and Hazel Youngblood Edwards; his parents-in-law, Mary Ruth Gean Fife and James P. "Buddy" Fife; his brother-in-law James Michael Fife; his nephew Michael Allen Fife; and his niece Selena Calloway.
He is survived by : his wife Ruth Ellen Fife Edwards; his son Richard "Todd" Edwards; his grandchildren, Taylar Edwards Davis, Maranda Johnson (Wesley) and Jeremy Defee (Tonia); his great grandchildren, Robbie-Jane Davis, Avery Joy Johnson, Ryker Johnson, Maverick Johnson, Olivia Grace Defee, Macie Rae Parker, Nathan Defee, Caleb Defee and Kelsey Nicole Brown; his siblings, Billy Wayne Edwards (Annette), Ernie Edwards (Dianne) and Kim Edwards; and his nephew Ian Ashcraft.
