It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Meda Jones of Hampton, Arkansas, born in Clyde, Texas, who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, W. P. West and Meda Havens West; her husband James Newton Jones; her grandson Justin Jones; and her great grandchildren, Lillie Johnson and Stella Rae Lott.
She is survived by : her children, Doug Jones of Hampton, Mike Jones of El Dorado, Lowell Jones of Hampton, Beth Lott (Charles) of Bristow and Betty Jones of Hampton; her sister-in-law Clarice West of Ore City, TX; and her grandchildren, Jamie Jones Bonnette, Chelsea Fosmire, Cody Lott, Matthew Lott, Stephanie Pruitt, Jennifer Johnson, Preston Jones, Brittany King and Maddison Jones. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benton Funeral Home (126 Archer, Hampton, AR 71744). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (8766 US-167, Hampton, AR 71744).
