He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Hefley and Sybil Edwards Hefley; his wife Wilma McDonald Hardin; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his niece Ronda; his nephews, Joey and Randy; his daughter Stacy (Russell) of Lubbock, Texas; his stepdaughter Linda Jones (Carl) of Everton; his brother Joe Hefley (Regena) of Harrison; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Tad Poteet of Lubbock, Texas, Jeff Jones (Jan) of Olvey, Chris Jones (Heather) of Olvey and Brittany Sisco (Dusty) of Harrison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to High Point Village, a faith-based day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a cause close to the family's heart, where Billy Ed's grandson Jackson attends.
