She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Burdine and Effie Shatwell (Davis); her husband Charles Bruce Jones; her stepfather Elver Shatwell; her grandparents, Eldridge and Anna Mae Davis; and her siblings, Mary Dee Casey, Mavis Hancock, Robert Nelson Burdine and Carl Shatwell.

She is survived by: her children, Tana Long (Terry), Lena Jones, Jimmy Jones (Angie), Brent Jones (Teresa) and Patrick Jones (Vickie); her siblings, Flona Smith (Maxine Shelton) of Ida Smith, R. L, George Burdine (Louene Ricketts), Rhonda Vanderpool (Thelma Pruitt) and Vonna Smith (Farrell Shatwell); and her grandchildren, Megan, Jeff, Shawna, Brett, Bethany, Britney, Callie, Cayman and Alissa. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.
