He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlis Black and Fannie Lee Black; his wife Markoleta Elizabeth Toll; his sisters, Jettie Roach and Helen Harper; and his children-in-law, Linda Black and Phil Prislovsky.

He is survived by: his children, Dickie Black of Pine Bluff, Danny Black (Leslie) of Little Rock and Paula Prislovsky of Rogers; his granddaughter Karen Black of Hazen; his sister-in-law Gladys Hatfield of DeValls Bluff; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Burnett (Thomas) of Little Rock, Jamie Dennis of Little Rock, Gabriel McTigrit (Genevieve) of Little Rock, Lauren Black of White Hall, Carly Padgett (Trapper) of Carlisle, Kelli Black of Little Rock, Meryl Prislovsky of Hazen, Jillian Horton (Justin) of Fayetteville and Ariel Tate (Vince) of Des Arc. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Oakland Cemetery, St. Peter's Episcopal Church and St. Alban's Episcopal Church.
