He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Gwatney of Little Rock and Douglas Verser of Fayetteville; his close friend Brenda Shoffner of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas.; his grandchildren, Zachary Rankin (Hannah) of Eureka Springs and Emily Kokoropoulos (Nick) of Fayetteville; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Beau, Ripley and Arthur.
