Gary Newberry Obituary
Gary Paul Newberry of Heber Springs was born on September 10, 1958 in Kennett, Mo. He was the son of Roy and Olean Newberry. He passed away on January 15, 2026 at Mountain Meadows Nursing Home in Southside, Arkansas.
Gary started working at what used to be Davies Electric and later became Rexel Electric in Heber Springs, and he continued to work there for 36 years. He was known for his dependability, knowledge and strong work ethic. He left a legacy of commitment, loyalty and friendship among his friends and coworkers.
Gary was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Being in the woods with his friends and family brought him peace, joy and happiness. Gary is the proud father of two children, his daughter: Brittany Freeman and son-in-law Michael Freeman, and his son Cheyne Newberry and daughter-in-law Cassie Newberry. He was also had five grandchildren: Jack Price, Logan Newberry, Brooks Price, Mikayla Newberry and Riley Price.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Olean Newberry and his stillborn son Gary Newberry Jr. There will be an informal memorial gathering on Sunday January 25th at 2pm at Magness Cemetery in Heber Springs.
