It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Talburt of Heber Springs, Arkansas, who passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene Talburt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Talburt and Geneva Talburt; his wife Bettye; his daughters, Jeannie Ann and Jennie Faith; his brother Jerry; and his siblings-in-law, Norris Whitfield, Glen Higginbotham and Dorma Talburt.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Laura Kowis Crisel (Brandon), Matthew Smith and Haley Smith (Blake); his great grandchildren, Charlee, Bryce, Austin, Aubrey and Libby Smith; his siblings, Edith Ernestine Higginbotham, Debbie Powell (Robert), Dwight (Camille) and John Talburt; his sister-in-law Pat Whitfield; and his son-in-law Melvin Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (201 Hospital Cir, Batesville, AR 72501).
