He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Oliver Vernon and Lola Mae Baker Vernon; his siblings, Bonnie Vernon Blount and Dillard E. Vernon Jr.; and his niece Donna Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Kim Vernon Rodgers (Gary) and Jamie Vernon (Stephanie) of Pangburn; his grandchildren, Lindsey Breeding (Brock) of Romance, Tylar Plunkett (Grant) of Fort Worth, TX and Brodie Vernon of Pangburn; his sister Carol Jones (Don) of Pangburn; his aunt Patsy Baker; and his cousin Darliss Treat. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Family Funeral Service (100 W Searcy St, Heber Springs, AR 72543).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in his honor be made to an Alzheimer's or Hospice organization of your choice.
