He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlin Simpson and Frances Simpson; his brothers, Darvin Ray Simpson and Marlin Edward "Eddie" Simpson; and his in-laws, Harlon and Delta Curtis.
He is survived by: his significant other Rebecca Curtis; his siblings, Colleen Parks (Ricky), Vicki Williams, Denise Alexander (Gary), Donny Simpson (Debbie) and Ricky Simpson; his child Geno Simpson (Justin); his grandchild Kelly-Ann Cassidy (Jeremy); his daughter Marlene Martin; and his grandson Michael Shay Martin (Nicole). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lemley Chapel. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Creek Cemetery.
