It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brett Shane Smith Sr. of Helena, Arkansas, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his brother Larry L. Smith of Helena; his grandparents, Thomas Andrew Smith, Mary Alma Whittington Smith (June) of Helena, James Russell Dawson and Ethel Louise Vieth Dawson; and his stepgrandmother Josephine Hester Horton Dawson of Stoddard County, Missouri..
He is survived by : his parents, Lavaughn Andrew Smith and Marjorie Joann Dawson Smith of Helena; his son Brett Shane Smith, II of Mesa, Arizona; and his brother Kevin A Smith (Virginia "Sissy" Smith) of Helena. He is also survived by six nephews and nieces, uncles, aunts and many cousins.
