He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwynne Mahon and Lottie Bell Mahon (Blaylock); and his siblings, Jerry Mahon and Mauvelene Imboden. He is survived by: his wife Libby Mahon; his daughters, Ashley Mahon Arnold of Benton and Allison Mahon South (Brad) of Wynne; his sister Judy Willis of Colt; his grandchildren, Dawson Arnold, Weslyn South, Allie Trail (Will), Morgan Hink (Jake) and Ty South; and his great grandchildren, Eli Trail, Miles Trail, Savvy Hink and Layton Hink. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Hickory Ridge Church of Christ.
