He was predeceased by : his parents, Lowell Rodgers and Clara Brenning Rodgers; and his siblings, Lloyd Rodgers and Loreeta Clifton. He is survived by : his wife Recia Shephard Rodgers; and his children, Rob Rodgers of Walnut Ridge, Tim Rodgers of Wynne, Monte Rodgers of Wynne, Jody Rodgers (Shelia) of Wynne, Wesley Beard of Hensey, Darell Beard (Emily) of Hickory Ridge, Owen Beard (Bekah) of Walnut Ridge and Kaye Franklin (Will). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kernodle Funeral Home (315 E Union Ave, Wynne, AR 72396). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (3600 AR-163, Cherry Valley, AR 72324-8988).

He donated much of his time to his community during those years.
