Cummings; her spouse Bennie Brown; her mother Cassie Mae Mallet-Barner; her grandson Mario Flowers; her great grandchild Onjahnique Williams; and her siblings, Doretha Brown, Aretha "Mama June" O'Bannon, Bernice Barner, Laretha Smith, Herbert and Rufus Barner.

She is survived by : her child Jackee; her former life partner James M. Thomas; her children, John Cummings of Denver, Colorado, Jackie Cummings of Denver, Colorado, Brenda Cummings of Denver, Colorado, Joyce Thomas of Denver, Colorado and Vicki Thomas of Denver, Colorado; her sisters, Alma Flowers of Wichita, Kansas, Gertie Jones of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Addie Abram; her nephew Waymon Artis of Holly Grove, Arkansas; and her daughter-in-law Gayle Cummings of Denver. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
