He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gierth and Anna Gierth; and his siblings, Johnny, Williard Gierth, Dorothy Wilson and Helen Hammock.
He is survived by: his sister Joylyn Putz of Hope, AR; and his children, Roy Gierth (Cindy) of Arkadelphia, AR, Rhonda Brown of Seguin, TX, Charles Gierth (Sharon) of Prescott, AR and Reggie Gierth (Beverly) of Prescott, AR. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
