He is survived by : his children, Gerald Boatwright (Diane) of Hollister, Robert Boatwright of Ayer, Massachusetts, Dianna James of Shelby and Carol Anderson (Kenny) of Franklin, Arkansas; and his son-in-law Paul James of Shelby, Michigan.

Pallbearers include: Joshua James, Andrew James, Brandon Womack, Chris Wilks, Mike Moon and Kathy Gleghorn Honorary pallbearer: Paul James Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
