It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Wilford Shanks of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, born in Williford, Arkansas, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Wilford Samuel "Slim"; and his siblings, Samuel "Slim" Shanks, Elizabeth "Betty" Shanks and Linda Bergeron. He is survived by : his children, Jay Shanks of Imboden, Arkansas, Sandee Martin (Bill) of Imboden and Kellie Shanks of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Leslee Ford and Kyler Shanks; and his great grandchildren, Layla Ulibarri and Hudson Ford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and their children.
