With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Jackson Meeks (Hot Springs Village, Arkansas), who passed away on April 20, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vellie and Gladys Rowland; his parents, Henry Tilmon Meeks and Ruby Jean Meeks; and his siblings, James, Vell Dean, Jerry and Wanda Kizer Reynolds.
He is survived by: his pet Pearl; his wife Patsy Nell Meeks; his children, Jonna Shaw (Tim) and Shannon Meeks (Rhonda); his siblings, Melvin (Debbie) and Tillie (John); his friend David Groves; his grandchildren, Jonathan Shaw (Morgan), Chance Meeks (Kabrelle) and Sage Richardson (Kolt); his great grandchildren, JJ, Jamesyn, Jack, Joelle, Juniper Shaw, Oriyah, Josiah Meeks and Barry Richardson; and his cousin Nancy (Tony). He is also survived by daughter, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and innumerable close friends.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital in his name.
