He was predeceased by: his father Ernest A. Jackson Jr.; and his grandparents, Ernest Jackson Sr., Shirley Jackson, Archie McCoy and Mary McCoy.
He is survived by: his mother Carolyn McCoy Jackson; his girlfriend Karen Anderson; his siblings, Eppie Ward and Michael Jackson; and his pet Dixie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Caruth-Hale Funeral Home (155 Section Line Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In honoring his life, the family has asked that any donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) http://www.secure.aspca.org, reflecting Gene's lifelong commitment to the welfare of animals.
