He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Halter and Rose Viltia Halter; his son Charles Jr. "Hot Shot" Halter; and his siblings, Sonny Halter, Helen Arnone, Anita Permenter and Mary Warrington.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Nye; and his children, Debbie Brandon, Danny Halter and Sandy Darguzas. He is also survived by spouses; 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Caruth-Hale Funeral Home (155 Section Line Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
