She was predeceased by: her parents, George Padgett and Winifred Wilkinson; her sister Sandra McLaughlin; and her grandson Tyler Lee Grisham. She is survived by: her husband William P. Akins Jr. "The Colonel"; her daughter Lisa Sandelovic; her sisters, Sharon Buckman and Karen Vaughan; and her stepchildren, Vicki Akins, William P. Akins III and Jason Akins. She is also survived by several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
