She was predeceased by: her husband Roland Forrest Gentry; her parents, Obadiah Houpt and Lillian Parrish Houpt; and her sisters, Virginia Whitner and Belva Daniels.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Barnett (Shelby); her granddaughter Kaitlyn Eubanks Phillips; and her siblings, Irma Fryar, Richard Houpt, Mary "Tootie" Toney (Ron), Gary Houpt, David Houpt (Jeri), Vickee Pearson and Darlene Loftis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church (17510 Church Rd, Bryant, AR 72087). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ten Mile Cemetery in Hazel's honor.
