He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James, Gladys Mangrum Brickell, Edward and Bernice Carpenter McFarlin; and his aunt Melissa Brickell.

He is survived by: his parents, Robert McFarlin and Teresa Brickell McFarlin; his siblings, Crystal McFarlin Marcussen, Katie McFarlin, Andrew Marcussen and Cory Hartquist; his siblings' children, Alex Vasilescu, Graham Marcussen, Ella Vasilescu and Greer Marcussen; and his uncle Tim Brickell.
