He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Davis Jr. and LaVonne Emerson Davis. He is survived by: his children, John M. Davis IV, Gene Emerson Davis of Little Rock and Dana Davis Smith of Virginia; and his brother George Holmes Davis Sr. of Little Rock. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
