He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Smith and Mary Smith; and his sister Barbara McCowan (Dick). He is survived by: his brothers, Tommy Smith Jr. (Charlene) and Gary Smith (Sandy); his children, Mary Christy Nelson (David) and Brad Smith (Sarah); and his grandchildren, Mason Nelson, Ashleigh Nelson, Josie Smith and Oliver Smith. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2868 Airport Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913).
