He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Smith and Mary Ware Smith; his wife Jamesetta Delorise Smith; and his sisters, Yvonne Anderson, Barbara Foster, Mary Smith and Helen Givens.

He is survived by: his sons, Leroy Smith Jr. and Darryl Smith (Tammy); his grandchildren, Keyona Smith, Antonio Smith, Jennifer Cardwell, Yekella "Ke-Ke" Smith, Tierney Wilson (Kenneth), Leroy Smith III (Valencia), Kasharri Smith, Dareney Jamesetta Smith, Tamera Smith, Darryl Smith Jr., Taylor Smith, Darren Smith and Tamiyah Smith; his great grandchildren, Cortez, Lydazia, Teondre, Ashley, Cornelius Jr., Amiyah, Aleyah, Charles III, Christiana, Bailee, Giselle, Leroy IV, Kenzo, Nekko and Narrell; and his siblings, Vera Pryor (Henry), Nancy Farr (Kevin), Henry "Tuddy" Smith (Odell) and Charles Smith. He is also survived by loving father to his two sons.

A funeral service was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greater St. Paul Baptist Church (497 Crescent Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901). A burial was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Belle Cemetery.
