She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Horace Bates and Iva Marie Bates (Johnson); her sister Bernice Graves; and her nephew Mickey Bates. She is survived by: her siblings, Brinda Bates, Earnest Bates (Pat), Manuel Bates (Shirley) and Ronnie Bates (Frances). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Caruth-Hale Funeral Home (155 Section Line Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
