With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Starling Smith (Hot Springs, Arkansas), who passed away on September 7, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Smith and Ruth Smith; and his siblings, Janet Hood and James Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bohnen Smith; his daughter Margaret Elizabeth Cowen (Russ); his granddaughters, Mary Catherine Cowen and Elizabeth Anne Cowen; his siblings, Donna Newton (Ronnie) of Greenbrier and Michael Smith (Susie) of Mayflower; and his brother-in-law Richard Bohnen (Sue) of Brandon, MS..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Church, P.O. Box 1117, Hot Springs, AR 71902 or to the charity of your choice.
