She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Rowland Meador and Ruby Lee Porter Meador; her former husband Gerald Cornish; her daughter Jill Cornish; and her sister Sue Meador Baugh.

She is survived by: her husband Van Simmons; her children, Gail Cornish Pruitt (Paul) and Jay Cornish; her grandsons, Cole Weirich, Connor Weirich and Greyson Weirich; her brother-in-law Bobby Cornish (Kay); and her nephews, Scott Baugh, Steve Baugh, Jason Baugh, Doug Cornish and Dan Cornish.
