He was predeceased by : his mother Ruby Mae Taylor Blackmon; his children, Michael Blackmon, Kaira Blackmon and Tyler Blackmon; and his brother Robert Blackmon.

He is survived by : his father W. A. Aubrey Blackmon (Sandie) of Houston; his grandson Kameron Blackmon of Conway; and his brothers, James Blackmon of Houston, Donald Blackmon of Houston, Larry Blackmon (Carol) of Perryville and John Blackmon (Delana) of Houston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
