He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Moore and Louise Veal Moore; and his pet Layla. He is survived by: his children, Phillip Moore (Jeannie) of Powhatan and Mica Knight (Darryl) of Paragould; his grandson Mason Houston; the mother of his children Sherry Moore of Hoxie; his close friend Mary Hinkle; and his pet Lucy.
