He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward Hamilton, Sr. and Nellie Hamilton (Woodard); his sons, Cecil and Steven Strange; and his brother Vernon Hamilton.
He is survived by: his children, Leo Strange (Laura), Brenda Kay McCaffery (John) and Marsha Hamilton; and his sister Gladys Herpich. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
