It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Nelson of Huntsville, Arkansas, born in Haskell, Texas, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nelson and Inez Nelson; and his siblings, James Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, Alvin Nelson, Tommy Nelson and Dorthy Alhstedt.
He is survived by: his wife Donnella Nelson; his children, Veneita Nelson of Huntsville and Avery; his daughter-in-law Melissa Nelson of Hindsville; his grandchildren, Brandon Nelson (Molly), Trisha Nelson (Kenny), Mitchell Nelson (Gracie) and Britney Blann (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Billy Charles Nelson, Emma Jayne Nelson, Raven Inez Blalock, Cade Avery Crenshaw, Easton Blann and Dax Archer Blann; his sister Carrol Charlene Arbaugh of New Camey, Texas; and his sister-in-law Nancy Nelson of Lake Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brashears Funeral Home (509 N Gaskill St, Huntsville, AR 72740). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory (509 N Gaskill St, Huntsville, AR 72740).
