It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Simonton of Huntsville, Arkansas, born in Conroe, Texas, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Reuben Davis Simonton IV; her parents, Thornberry Thornberry and Emily Leona Wiggins Thornberry of Conroe; her siblings, Owen Thomas Thornberry Jr. (Julia) of Beltsville, MD, Frederic Donald Thornberry (Nancy) of College Station, TX and Iris Julianna Thornberry Corley of Conroe; and her great grandchildren, Luna and Thomas.
She is survived by : her husband Michael of Georgia; her siblings, Jeanne Thornberry Donaldson and Jonathon Thornberry; her children, Reuben Davis Simonton V (Marie), Rebekah Elizabeth Simonton, Emily Simonton Jones (Kirk) and Martin Simonton; and her grandchildren, Chase Thomas Simonton (Ashley), Clayton Lewayne Simonton (Theresa), Casey Michelle Simonton Cresswell (Ethan), Courtney Kay Simonton Gillman (Derrick), Grayson Lee Jones, Garrett McCain Jones, Emma Riese Jones and Alexander Keith Riley. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
